House SC

The renovation of an old farmstead is conceived with a complete respect of the landscape and the historic part of the building. The new addition is clearly distinguished by the use of a continuous wood façade that wraps the new building connecting it to the old stone building. The design of a courtyard closed on three sides, leads to the main entrance of the house. The typical ferrous composition of the local stone was the inspiration for the use of the corten steel for the ventilated façade at the entrance court. The stone structure of the old building was as much as possible preserved and reinforced. The surrounding landscape was designed to complete the renovation project of the property. Local plants and flowers were chosen to create a natural surrounding.
