L’Italia di Magnum

 

CAMERA – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia has a new graphic image for its communications, starting with the exhibition L’Italia di Magnum. Da Henri Cartier-Bresson a Paolo Pellegrin. The approach to the new graphic design relies on the photographic shot, selected as a guiding image, which is included in the design of an “elastic” system that can be used to interpret the overall visual content in a wide range of communicative media: the asymmetrical frame and the large quantity of white space around the image permit the use of original proportions of the shot, offering it the proper isolation from the context in which it is transmitted. The unusual treatment of the logo of the institution adds a touch of dynamism to the composition, without compromising the simplicity of the overall layout.
