Cristina Mittermeier. A Greater Wisdom is the first monographic retrospective exhibition in Italy dedicated to the photographic work of Cristina Mittermeier. The exhibition, curated by Lauren Johnston and featuring an important collaboration with National Geographic, brings the visitor into close contact with the themes of environmental protection and sustainability, to raise awareness around the fragility of our ecosystem. In this sense, Cristina Mittermeier’s work is a sensitive and extensive documentation of the relationship between human beings and Planet Earth.
A world-renowned photographer and environmental activist, Cristina Mittermeier bears witness with her works to the crucial relationship between indigenous peoples and biodiversity, oceans and climate change. The exhibition includes an extraordinary body of iconic works.
The set-up, designed by BRH+, starts from a symbolic elaboration of the author’s crucial themes to explore meaningful spatial solutions rendered through highly expressive materials.
